Juror Statement
Having the opportunity to Jury this amazing group of artists is a reminder of the power of the Midwest, reminds me of how brilliant, yet slept on we are as a region. thank you so much for all of you dedication to your practices. Thank you for being an inspiration to me, to keep pushing onwards, showing up, showing out and advocating for the Midwest and it's ever growing Arts and Artist community.

About the Juror
Darryl DeAngelo Terrell (B. 1991), Is a Detroit Based artist who primarily works within lens-based media (i.e. Photography, Video), performance, and writing, they’re also a Curator, DJ, and Organizer. Darryl received their Bachelor of Fine Art from Wayne State University in 2015 and their Master of Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2017. Darryl is a 2022 Fire Island Artist in Resident, 2022 Lighthouse Work Fellow, 2021 Black Rock Senegal Artist in Resident, 2021 Redbull House of Art Resident, 2019/2020 Document Detroit Fellow, 2019 Kresge Arts In Detroit Fellow of Visual Arts. Darryl has Exhibited both nationally, and internationally, recently showing at The Hood Museum at Dartmouth College, in the Dakar Biannual, The Art Institute of Chicago, Cranbrook Art Museum, etc.
